How long? For what?

Today, Age of Conan is opening up a new Saga Server, Saga of Blood, which offers players a chance to take part in a limited-time event for honor, glory, and of course exclusive rewards. Saga of Blood will be running on a PvP ruleset, and PvP combat is what this new Saga Server is all about — Portents and the Raid Finder are both disabled for the duration of the Saga. Transfers to the Saga Server are not allowed, so every player will be starting fresh on an even playing field.

Over the course of Saga of Blood, players will be tasked with working their way through a special Saga Quest, which will require them to reach certain level-progression milestones at levels 18, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, and 80; players will also be required to defeat “several players in [their] level range” for each step of the Saga Quest. The server’s level cap will begin at 18 for the first week, then it will be raised to 30 for the second week, and then it will increase by 10 levels for each week thereafter until it reaches the cap of 80.

Each week, players will be ranked on public leaderboards based on their PvP conquests, and at the end of the Saga, Funcom will draw “the top 4 player killers for each class” together to compete in a final PvP tournament in which they can win “an exclusive Cloak, Title, and other fabulous prizes.” At the conclusion of Saga of Blood, all characters created on the server will be transferred to the Fury server with their inventories “fully intact.” For more details on the Saga of Blood, head on over to the game’s official site.
