Hoist the sails, swab the decks, and all that good stuff, because in the latest preview for World of Warcraft’s upcoming Tides of Vengeance update, Blizzard is showing off the new adventures that await players in Island Expeditions. Tides of Vengeance will bring two new islands for players to explore (Havenswood and Jorundall) as well as two new events that players can encounter on their voyages.
Azerite Ruptures will begin cropping up across the islands, and when players encounter one, they can deploy a device to harvest its contents. Doing so, however, will spawn waves of enemies that players must fend off, and it will also alert the enemy team of the rupture’s location, so players will have to hold the line if they want to reap the precious Azerite and live to tell about it. In a similar vein, players will also be able to find locations where they can deploy Azerite Extractors, which provides a steady flow of Azerite over time, but deployed extractors are marked on everyone’s map, and the enemy team can attempt to take control of them and steal the Azerite for itself.
And in other World of Warcraft news, Blizzard has announced that it’s going to be making some changes to the Uldir raid during the upcoming weekly maintenance on November 27th. Mythrax is receiving a couple of minor nerfs that will reduce the N’raqi Destroyer’s health by 10% and make it so taht Visions of Madness will “no longer strictly prefer to target ranged players with Mind Flay.” Fetid Devourer is also getting toned down a bit on Mythic difficulty, as is G’huun, so players should have a slightly easier time felling these bosses after the changes go live.
