Torchlight Frontiers blends form and function with new wardrobe feature

In last week’s dev livestream, the Torchlight Frontiers devs detailed some of the ways that they’ve been improving the game based on player feedback, including the addition of the new wardrobe feature, which is the subject of the game’s latest update post. As the post notes, one of the major issues that players had to contend with during the first two alpha tests was keeping their gear organized, especially when it came to managing multiple gear sets.

The solution, of course, is the wardrobe system, but the folks at Echtra Games weren’t content to just implement a simple, basic system for saving gear sets — instead, they came up with a feature that is both functional and fashionable. The first example of the wardrobe feature that the devs showed off on the livestream took the form of a statue that could be placed in a player’s fort and onto which a full set of gear could be equipped, providing both storage and a lovely bit of decor, though the post notes that in the future, the wardrobe feature may be expanded — for example, players may eventually be able to recruit NPCs and equip them with gear sets as well. For the full details on the current iteration of the wardrobe system, though, be sure to check out the dev diary over at the game’s official site.
