If you were passing curious about Blade & Soul Revolution, one of the two mobile games spinning off of the original PC MMORPG, then here’s some potentially good news. During Epic Games’ “State of Unreal” keynote at this year’s Game Developers Conference, Netmarble unveiled an English language logo for the mobile title.
For those unfamiliar, Blade & Soul: Revolution was described as a mobile release that looks to stay true to the PC version. The game offers four classes and races and includes cinematic PvE story content and 500v500 clan PvP battles, among other features. The last announcement out of the game before this was in October of last year, when it got a release date in Korea.
As the official PR noted, “Netmarble is also working to expand its service for Blade & Soul Revolution into other territories, notably other parts of Asia and in the West,” so it’s a pretty good assumption that the game is headed our way.
The presentation did, of course, introduce a number of new games to the Epic Games store. It further expounded on the Unreal Engine’s strengths, the company’s $100M Epic MegaGrants program, and Epic Online Services, an SDK suite that lets developers put together games with “a unified, cross-platform social experience.”
