Broadsword’s been on a tear in 2019 with Ultima Online updates. Back in January, it announced that it’d be rolling out high seas content, inspired by the game’s original High Seas DLC from years back. In March, the studio formally launched Rising Tide, buffing ship combat, adding new vet rewards, and even adding kitchen sets to the cash shop (not kidding). This week, it’s rolled out its next phase to the test server. It’s called Forgotten Treasures.
“Forgotten Treasures is the second in our High Seas themed content updates for the year and we are excited to bring a fresh perspective to Treasure Hunting and Cleanup Britannia. This is only a small part of what’s to come in Forgotten Treasures but we are eager to bring you this early look and get your feedback as we work through the public testing process.”
The update looks to completely overhaul treasure maps (yay!) by consolidating their levels, adding class-themed chests, tweaking the Cartography skill, removing the Mining skill requirement, redestributed mobs, and call a do-over for the loot that’s dropped within them. As a hardcore treasure hunter, I’m stoked!
