Sea of Thieves’ massive anniversary update sets sail today – though it was a little late –Â bringing with it a veritable galleon-full of new content, including the “epic” new Shores of Gold storyline, the long-awaited PvP arena, the Hunter’s Call, and more. “That’s all well and good,” I hear you saying, “but how will I be able to show everyone what a super cool hardcore gamer I am?” Well, with achievements, of course, which is exactly the topic of the latest SoT dev update. With the release of the anniversary update comes a plethora of new achievements that players can earn as they play their way through the anniversary update, and no matter what facet of Sea of Thieves’ new content tickles your fancy, there are plenty of ways to accrue some tasty internet points.
If you’ve been itching to put your seafaring skills to the test against your fellow pirates, then 13 new achievements await you in the arena. For those hankering for some angling, completing tasks for the Hunter’s Call can reel in a haul of 12 new achievements, and completing the entirety of the new Tall Tales – Shores of Gold storyline will pay out a whole 14 achievements. That’s 39 new achievements worth a combined total of 1000 gamerscore. Although by the time you’re reading this, the anniversary update will likely be live, if you aren’t yet on the high seas and would like to take a look at what you’ll need to do to earn all the new achievements, you can find a full list with the requirements for each on the game’s official site.
