These
Secret World Legends’ investigation missions won’t solve themselves! Massively OP’s MJ had taken a break from completing her run-through of The City of The Sun God, but she feels the to pull to return and wrap things up. Join us live at 8:00 p.m. as she moves one step closer to Transylvania by finishing off the Foundations investigation mission, and maybe another side mission or two as well!
The show is over now, but we’ve embedded it here just for you. Don’t forget to check out our

Egypt is pretty amazing, with some of the best story telling and NPC’s I’ve ever seen in an mmo. In fact the story there would beat most single player games and more than a few novels. The two Egypt maps are also full to overflowing with memorable and beloved NPC’s. I especially liked Phtamose and his children the Sentinels. Their story was very touching, sometimes humorous, and often poignant.
That said, the area has more than its share of complex and sometimes difficult quests, and I found the Ankh dungeon final boss fight borderline frustrating. Further, it was interesting how my first time through Egypt I was feeling all smug that I was close to wrapping it up, when I come across a hologram in the Orochi camp that set off the quest chain from hell, with the finale ‘In the Dusty Dark’ tomb raid making me curse the day I ever became a gamer! lol Fortunately though that quest chain was much easier the second time around, and on a broader note, the Secret World quests by and large hold up much better on repeat playthroughs than those of other mmo’s I’ve tried. Come to think of it I’m definitely looking forward to my second run through Transylvania soon, except for maybe one quest there that was the jump puzzle from hell! ;)
We all know this jump puzzle of which you speak!
Very much enjoying my revisit of Transylvania. For one thing Secret World has an interesting take on vampires; one that fits in very well with the game’s combat mechanics. For another, Cucuvea and her abode are very cool and remind me of something out of Pan’s Labyrinth. Also, fighting the vampires (Strigoi) in the bombed out buildings takes me back to the Stalingrad map of that great old EA/Dice shooter Battlefield 1942.
My only gripe, and I say this somewhat half-joking/half-seriously, is that I will occasionally see other players with skateboards and fancy vanity flair that seem out of place in the eerie ambient environs of Secret World. If I wanted to see silly juvenile stuff like that I’d be back playing GW2 or SWTOR! lol
umm streamer I mean.
Sorry I missed this stream, Im currently doing this zone so would have been helpful, maybe sometime you could show the zone that comes after Egypt? Your my favourite MJ ;)
I am trying to! This time around my goal was to finish up zones completely before moving on (except when South Africa released I had to power through the story missions). I hope to be in Transylvania soon! Maybe we’ll get there at the same time =D
This is where the game always looses me. I’ve started over three times over the years and I never make it through Egypt.
I here ya man. See my comments above, especially concerning ‘In the Dusty Dark’.
