Rust’s latest update brings in the earliest ridable horses

Horse outside.

Back in the ’90s, Rust was not in a very famous TV show. But you can still enjoy the spirit of that by taking advantage of the game’s first pass for horses being available to ride. Of course, it’s important to note that the horses in question are still in a pretty rough state, and even these early horses are still going to eat a whole lot of food while you keep them as your own personal transit. Still, it beats walking on your own two feet like a sucker.

Players can also take advantage of other updates like improved weapon textures, improved menu systems, and network optimization; horses are just the marquee feature for this particular update. Considering the overall path it has taken for players to get any sort of MMO-ish wild west game on the PC, this may be all you need. So go ahead and take your horse to the old town road, although we suspect you will be able to ride no more when someone shoots you and your horse.
