The regular weekly update from Camelot Unchained isn’t exactly loaded with what one would call sexy, big ticket items, but the developers of the sandbox MMORPG appear to be making steady progress, which certainly is good to see. This week’s devblog has detailed the usual broad scope of progress reports, with the interesting announcement of a heraldry designer.
Work on the UI for this feature, which will let players craft their own heraldry for their in-game cloaks and banners, was in the list of Camelot Unchained weekly updates. It’s not exactly clear when this feature will make its way to a finished state, but the close of the list names it among “totally cool big projects that (players) need to be patient for.”
There’s also continued work to make building placed objects like doors still function even if a major connecting block is destroyed, continued efforts to shore up server performance, and an overhauled chat server that will handle permissions for multiple rooms including local chat, warbands, and custom chat rooms complete with secure permissions and moderation functions.
