Beyond what, exactly?

If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of No Man’s Sky: Beyond, your wait is almost over. The next big update for the game is going live on August 14th, and it’s an update so large that the studio loves to claim it’s functionally three major updates in one. Then again, when the game is adding full-on VR support and much more robust multiplayer, you can really claim that the update contains as much as you like. That’s a big post-launch update, after all.

The biggest focus at the moment is the game’s VR experience, which obviously does play nice with the multiplayer side of things but also enhances the isolation and quiet of the main game. You can check out videos for both the release date and the VR update below, but you should expect more information about the Beyond update to arrive during the next two weeks before launch.
