On its afternoon livestream today, Gamigo announced that it’s delaying the release of ArcheAge Unchained to October 15th. It was originally scheduled for September 30th. Unchained is a buy-to-play “legacy” version of the game that is committed to a clean experience free of pay-to-win.
Gamigo also reiterated during the stream that there will not be any labor potions and expansion scrolls for money (credits) – they’ll be available only for diligence coins.

Hamburg, September 20, 2019 – The gamigo group announces that the release date of the anticipated Online-MMORPG ArcheAge: Unchained has been moved to October 15th, 2019. The German publisher intends to prolong the Quality Assurance phase to ensure the in-game mechanics are fairly balanced and that new features, such as the ArchePass, are implemented properly. The decision is based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback from the community, which had a strong influence on the development of ArcheAge: Unchained since its announcement.
According to the community, ArcheAge: Unchained is the online role-playing game many MMORPG fans have been waiting for. New and existing players of ArcheAge deserve the best possible experience from the day of release. gamigo will continue to improve the gameplay experience based on player feedback, to offer the best version of ArcheAge: Unchained. gamigo will also set up a preview server starting October 1st, which will give players access to a first look at the new content. Over the following two weeks, and in two waves, owners of the Founder Packages as well as the general public will have the chance to try out and extensively test the game before its release. Feedback of any kind is very much appreciated!
The launch of the “Shadows Revealed” update will also be postponed. With this update, the graphics in both versions (F2P and B2P) of ArcheAge will be significantly improved. gamigo will also extend the development period in order to optimize the new graphic settings, performance and features.
