The Halloween season just isn’t complete without The Elder Scrolls Online’s Witches Festival, now would it? Fret not, the spooky seasonal event has confirmed its return, bringing familiar challenges and returning rewards along with some new goodies to collect.
Just like last year, players can partake in the Witches Festival by getting “The Witchmother’s Bargain” free quest from the Holiday section of the Crown Store. Completing this quest nets you a Witchmother’s Whistle memento that can be used to summon a Witchmother’s Cauldron that grants you and your party a 100% XP buff for two hours. You can also use the Cauldron to transform yourself into an undead monster. Those who already have this memento from last year can use it again this year.
In addition to the seasonal quest, there are items to earn by looting Plunder Skulls. These items can be found by defeating boss monsters. Rewards include returning mementos, a Runebox containing one of four Witches Festival-themed masks, and pieces of a new Skeleton Marionette memento that can be crafted when players collect 10 pieces of the item. In addition, defeating different boss monsters for the first time each day rewards Dremora Plunder Skulls which feature all of the same goodies along with Dremora Motif pages as well as new items like the Glenmoril Armor Outfit Style page, the Glenmoril Treasure Map, and the Witches Festival Writ.
Finally, the first time a boss drops a Dremora Plunder Skull, it’ll also drop two Event Tickets that can be used to purchase every event item available in the Witches Festival as well as Snow Berries of Bloom, which can evolve the Nascent Indrik mount into the Pure-Snow Indrik mount.
The Witches Festival runs from Thursday, October 24th, and Monday, November 4th. Details on the goodies and which boss monsters to take on can be found at the ESO website. You can also get a look at last year’s event from MJ’s stream below.
