Black Desert is busy. On our side of the globe, there have been a number of events kicking off for players to dig in to, while over on the Korean version, there are plans for more Succession Skills, more areas, and other content updates.
The game’s Korean website posted a rundown of a special Calpheon Banquet event, which was helpfully translated by a member of the BDO subreddit. This banquet was not just about food, as it also detailed several new content features coming to BDO KR. And of course, what’s next for the Korean version is what’s next for us here.
So just what’s next? How about an Awakening for the Guardian class; continued Succession Skill additions for the Witch, Wizard, Mystic, Lahn, and Striker; a new Battleground called Papuaclini Island; and the Odilita region which features a PvPvE zone called Thorn Tree Castle. This particular zone opens up in stages, each with their own objectives like killing mobs or solving puzzles in a race to a goal in the middle. Of course, there are other players making their way to this goal, too, which is where the PvP comes in. There’s also some new gear to chase and a seasonal ladder being developed.
That’s all in the far-flung future, but for the here-and-now there are a whole bunch of events to take part in, including a New Year’s Surprise full of Fragments and Shards in the beginning of January, the return of Piku the Yeti from now until January 8th, and several other holiday events and boosts, which are detailed in these patch notes.
