It’s time to absolutely ruin the Red Banner Cult led by Hi-Pan in the latest Champions Online event, dubbed (appropriately enough) Red Banner Ruin and running from February 7th to February 13th. Players who have been in the game for a while will be at least passingly familiar with the cult, of course, as they have faced off against Hi-Pan before, but he seems to be… stronger this time around. More dangerous. Less amenable to negotiation. More likely to insist that if his friends don’t order from the restaurant he wants they don’t get to come over to watch the game with him. You get the idea.
Taking part in the event will allow players to obtain the Painted Mask and the Celestial Dragon Device, both of which should help players feel a bit more personalized after beating up a whole wizard’s cult. There are also rumors that the artifacts Hi-Pan is holding are part of a larger set, which gives an idea of what may be yet to come… but first, you need to go beat up a man and his cult.
