Dauntless shows off the features and cosmetics of the Rogue Elements hunt pass launching on April 30

Dauntless is just about ready to kick off another Hunt Pass season this coming Thursday, April 30th, and that means a couple of sneak peeks ahead of launch, both in terms of content updates and the pass rewards themselves.

In terms of Hunt Pass rewards, expect the usual selection of things like emotes, consumables, and outfits and weapon skins inspired by the technologically advanced Ostian Empire depending on if you follow the free track or buy in to the Elite track. Much of this is old hat to regular players, but what’s new with this Hunt Pass is that cosmetic armor returns to the free track as a level 50 reward.

As for the game itself, this season works a bit differently as well. Every week will feature a new contract quest which rewards Hunt Pass XP and Seismic Intel, the latter of which can be turned in to an NPC to provide “invaluable information in combating the new Behemoth threat, and [a] hint at what may be on the horizon.” Completing every weekly contract will not only reward some in-game lore but will also provide a hint at the game’s umbral-aspected Escalation mode.

The update will also bring on four new Trials challenges which start on May 7th, featuring modifiers which may look familiar to Adept Slayers who took on the Shock Escalation, as well as bring a free bundle for PlayStation Plus members. There are no patch notes yet, but the announcement post has plenty of details to look over.
