Phantasy Star Online 2’s latest event encourages grouping

While PC players sit on their hands and continue to wait for the launch of Phantasy Star Online 2 to reach them, Xbox One players are getting a treat in the form of a new event this week.

Phantasy Star Online 2’s party play campaign seems designed to encourage fledgling adventurers to get used to grouping up. Console players have until May 12th to join parties and clear a handful of quests together during this period. Getting three quests done in a group will net you a free SG20 ticket, while doing five quests rewards you with a SEGA Saturn mask.

Massively OP posted our early impressions of PSO2 back in late March, saying, “The focus on aesthetic is front and center in this game. It makes a point to make sure you’re doing cool things while fighting massive beasts without any need to grind. The game’s even balanced out so that players have a fighting chance against higher-level mobs too. It just doesn’t seem to get old.”
