The Daily Grind: What was the last ‘new’ thing you learned about an MMO you’ve played a long time?

So I’ve been playing SWG Legends about two years now, and yet I’m constantly learning things that are completely new to me. For example, a few weeks back I bumped into a wiki page for the server that explained that the cap for droids and pets is not, in fact, 20, as I’m pretty sure it was on the live servers back in the day. On Legends, you can actually pay in-game credits to increase the cap to 30. What?! Yep.

Now, I’m literally a Droid Engineer with a well-stocked droid vendor, and I still did not know this. I love it, both because it’s an effective gold sink and a way to cram another 300 storage into my datapad… I’m not a hoarder, I swear).

It got me thinking about how in some of the most complex MMORPGs, you never really stop learning – there’s always something you don’t know, and honestly, if that ever stopped being true, it’d be pretty boring, right? So tell me I’m not alone here. What was the last new thing you learned about an MMO you’ve played a long time?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
