The final event for World of Warcraft’s PvP esports scene is on the horizon. This Saturday, September 26th (aka today) marks the finals for the Arena World Championship to determine which team is the best in the NA and EU regions and who will claim their share of a $500K prize pool.
The first series of finals is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. EDT today to pare down the winners for the European group, while the North American finalists will duke it out tomorrow, September 27th, also at 1:00 p.m. EDT. For those who care to follow along, there’s a viewer’s guide that breaks down who’s competing and how to watch among other details.
In other WoW news that doesn’t involve PvP’ing, the next scheduled maintenance this coming Tuesday will see another planned server merging, smooshing the Exodar and Medivh realms with the Alleria and Khadgar realms. Readers will recall that Khadgar was the server that experienced a sudden de-leveling, which appears to be a matter that has since been addressed. Fingers crossed that the merging goes off without similar weirdness.
