Having raised over $145,000 in its Kickstarter campaign to date, The Wagadu Chronicles is tearing into its stretch goals like a lion enjoying a gazelle snack on the Serengeti.

Already, the campaign has unlocked three stretch goals of additional features: a sea navigation system, the Swala sub-lineage, and an ancient African board came that can be played in-game called Oware.

The sailing system sounds particularly intriguing, with multiple types of boats, wind to harness, obstacles in the water, and sea creatures — such as the Ninki-Nanka dragons — that might attack you on occasion.

The afrofuturist-inspired roleplay MMORPG project breezed by its $117,000 Kickstarter goal in the first few days of the campaign. The next stretch goal, at $150,000, is the Ikaki sub-lineage.
