Star Wars The Old Republic’s GU 6.1.4 update is live with the Feast of Prosperity

Who’s hungry? Star Wars The Old Republic players better be because the Feast of Prosperity is live today in the just-launched GU 6.1.4 update.

“Over the years, the Hutt Cartel’s reputation has taken a hit. The once powerful organization no longer instills respect and fear. To restore the Cartel’s influence, two up-and-coming Hutts, Gaboorga the Abundant and Duuba the Magnanimous, are throwing the most lavish ‘charitable banquet’ in history for the galaxy’s underprivileged. And if the Cartel happens to advance their business interests during the Feast, everyone wins! If Gaboorga and Duuba can cooperate, they could rocket the Cartel back into the upper echelons of the galactic underworld. But the Hutts’ conflicting priorities means they’re constantly undermining each other. Each week a new Story Mission will unlock to progress this storyline, leading to the climactic choice during the third and final week: Gaboorga or Duuba? Only one Hutt can win, and the fate of the Feast of Prosperity is at stake. Choose wisely!”

Do note that the event itself won’t actually launch until 2 p.m. EDT today, even though the rest of the patch is live now. And as for the rest of the patch? There’s a new tier of legendary-quality augments, a new legacy-wide ignore feature, and changes to the conquest system that tweak point rewards, add dailies and weeklies, and adjust objective brackets.

I started the festival quests, but it was suuuper laggy. I think I’m going to wait until the crowd thins a bit to proceed. It’s fun so far, just lots and lots of people.
