Fans of NBC’s The Office probably remember the 2007 episode “Local Ad” where the Dunder Mifflin team made a commercial for the Scranton branch. Tucked into that episode was a B-story about Dwight channeling his depression into playing Second Life at work, which resulted in a bit of chatter and some scenes of the virtual world in action.
Well, on this week’s Office Ladies podcast, stars Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey tackled questions about this show — including how they got the Second Life segments made. The hosts said that The Office coordinated with Linden Labs, including sending them pictures of Rainn Wilson and John Krasinski so that the studio could make them into avatars.
