Those who want to get their last dose of Magic Legends before its closure have a little more time to do it — but only 24 hours. Back in June, Cryptic announced that it would be shuttering the faltering multiplayer title on October 31st, but now apparently that sunset date has been bumped to November 1st. Either way, this is the last weekend to log into Magic Legends for its twist on the ARPG genre.
In the original shutdown notice, Cryptic and PWE said that the studio’s “vision for Magic Legends missed the mark, but we are proud of what we achieved,” as well as that the studio “learned several valuable lessons along the way and […] will use them to improve Cryptic’s future development efforts.”
The sunset will occur without Magic Legends ever leaving its beta status. Earlier this year, MOP’s Tyler said that the title was “messy, deep, and more of an MMO than you’d think.”
