The Daily Grind: When’s the last time you rage quit an MMO gaming session?

The other night I did something I haven’t done in a very long time: I got so frustrated with an MMO that I shut down the game and walked away to cool off. I’m pretty chill in my online adventures, so this was unusual for me.

The incident happened when Dungeons and Dragons Online — an MMORPG that I quite enjoy, I should mention — made it incredibly difficult to navigate through a particular adventure zone just to get to the quest instance that I needed to do. I died no less than four times struggling to find a path to this far-away place and eventually said, “You know what? Forget this!” and stomped off like an angry toddler.

Has this sort of thing happened to you? When’s the last time you rage quit a gaming session because you were frustrated, upset, or blinded by sheer anger?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
