The other day in Lord of the Rings Online, I learned something I never knew before: How to re-name your cosmetic pets. Unlike combat pets, which only require a right-click on their portrait to access a rename feature, cosmetic pets are renamed with the “/cpet rename NEWNAME” command.
And boy, I do like the ability to rename vanity pets. It adds just that extra layer of customization and helps with bonding to this virtual critter. Not all MMOs allow you to rename pets, but you’d think that such a small thing would be standard.
