The Daily Grind: Have you ever met any of your MMO guildies in real life?

I suspect that the pandemic put a bit of a damper on the idea of having guild meetups, just as it brought most conventions to a halt, but not so long ago it was fairly commonplace. I’ve managed to meet quite a lot of my guildies over the years I’ve known them; we’ve been to Vegas several times in the long long ago, some guildies came to visit us locally, and one year, we saved up and had a huge guildmoot in London, one of the best vacations I’ve ever been on. Folks, my European guildies humored me for days as I dragged them to like five million museums. One of them even drove us to Oxford, easily the scariest car trip of my life. They are the best. I miss them terribly, and I wish we hadn’t all grown up and gotten busy real lives that made meets so much harder to pull off.
