PvPvE shooter The Cycle: Frontier is closing out its first season with a literal bang, or at least several bangs from the looks of it. The newest patch for the game has released this week, and with it comes the Cataclysm event to close it all out.

As one might expect from an event bearing that name, the event promises to make the surface of Fortuna more dangerous than ever, with shorter days, more falling meteors, more frequent storms and spikes, and coincidentally, easier to find monster parts and rare minerals. The patch also makes a number of bug fixes.

The Cycle’s next season will kick off on Wednesday, September 28th, bringing with it a new map, new battle pass, and a progression wipe, but in the meantime, there’s the small matter of a mini-apocalypse to contend with.
