Chimeraland fans, if you’ve been thinking that the game’s population is shrinking and is in need of a merge, then Level Infinite agrees with you.
“Recently, it’s come to our notice that many travelers in the Chimeraland community have expressed a desire for a server merge,” LI writes. “After a thorough analysis of the server’s ecosystem and brainstorming sessions on the viability of a combined server, the developer has decided to carry out a server merge on October 13 to allow travelers to enjoy a better gaming experience.”
The game officially launched for North America and Europe this past summer, meaning these merges are coming after just three months of play; however, it also looks as if some of the Asian servers are merging down too.
“After the server merge, there’ll be a series of subsequent events, and we hope that travelers brought together by the server merge will be able to enjoy each others’ companionship and have fun playing together! In addition, please visit the Chimeraland Server Merge FAQ or follow the community and the official website for more information. As this is Chimeraland’s 1st server merge, we believe that travelers who are involved in or looking forward to it must have many questions or suggestions. So, travelers are welcome to leave their comments and post questions via the official community, official group, and other channels, and we’ll make sure to read them carefully!”
That FAQ isn’t actually linked from the announcement, but if you dig around on the official site, you can find it; the team clarifies that it’s using a priority system for character names and houses. The former will rely on recent logins, level, and creation date; the latter will rely on logins, home status, and building level. Players will want to check out the whole doc and clean out their workbenches before the big day to avoid losing in-progress crafting.
