The Daily Grind: What might be the next MMO to undergo a big business model shift?

In years past, we used to run a Daily Grind asking which MMO would be the next to go free-to-play, but at this point, there aren’t a whole lot of games left that haven’t already done it, so we’ve switched over to focusing on big monetization shifts instead. And I have an obvious answer in mind: New World.

See, New World right now is way, way too cheap. It doesn’t have a sub, its box price is too cheap, and frankly, its cash shop is kinda weak. I can only assume it’s been bleeding money for more than a year, and that’s not sustainable. I fully expect a real business model to emerge and am kinda shocked it hasn’t already happened.

What do you think will be the next MMO to undergo a big business model shift, and how will it happen?
