You know what’s always mystified me? Any game that involves a whole lot of weapon swapping for optimal combat rotations. Apparently it’s a big part of Elder Scrolls Online’s design, yet I care not one whit for it. I’ve got my weapon and I’m going to stick with it instead of juggling a sword and a bow like an indecisive fool. It always seems to be more fiddly than I’m willing to accept, so I just don’t.
But maybe you have a different opinion? I’m open to hearing it! What’s your stance on weapon swapping in MMO combat? Do you like the options? Is there a game that works well with this format? Or does it make you rage-throw your desk across the room while you go play some Settlers of Catan to calm down?
