So, River Hobbits. They’re cute. They have the best hair in LOTRO’s Middle-earth. They’re affordable, and they can roll with any class, and dammit, I want one. But fam, I need a new alt like I need a hole in the head, which left me considering changing the race of one of my existing characters. And upon reflection, I don’t think I’ve ever done that in over a quarter of a century of MMORPG gaming.
It’s not as if I’ve never had the chance; lots of MMOs are happy to sell race changes. I’ve just never done it. Something about it doesn’t feel right, which is weird because I’ve never hesitated to change skills and classes when that’s been available.
