Old School RuneScape wants to be a lumberjack (again) with Forestry: Part Two

For those lumbering about pining for a true arbor feeling, wood you give Old School RuneScape another look? Because this MMO just dropped the second part of its forestry update.

“It’s time to don your most rugged plaid shirt and sharpen your axe, because Forestry: Part Two is here,” Jagex said. “In this update to the Woodcutting expansion released earlier this year, you can expect new rewards, new gear, and a cozy new way to train Firemaking.”

Cozy campfires? Where do we sign up?

“As of today’s update, you’ll be able to create Campfires, which let you add and burn logs one at a time, for a third of the usual XP. You’ll gain roughly 50% less XP per hour, but at least we’ll finally discover what’s on the floor of the Grand Exchange – and you can give your poor mouse a rest for a while!”

The patch arrived with six new and/or reworked tree-themed events, including “Poachers” and “Leprechaun.” Another big addition is a two-handed axe that increases XP gain and ups the chance of extra logs dropping.
