As truly sad as it is to have a beloved MMORPG shut down on you, there’s some measure of consolation that you actually got to play it and didn’t miss out on the fun when it was live. There’s even a sort of mild prestige that comes years later when you’re able to tell others that you played Obscure Worlds Online and can regale them with stories of grand adventures.
Nothing wrong with that, I say! If all you have are memories and you get the opportunity to earn a bit of respect and admiration from others who’ve only heard about a certain game, why not take it?
