Survival shooter The Day Before shows off Times Square ad space ahead of December 7 early access

Having personally been in Times Square for a couple of days, I can say that the giant video billboards that highlight the streets there are fascinating but eventually blend into the hustle and bustle of New York City itself. Regardless, The Day Before, the upcoming survival shooter MMO from developer Fntastic and publisher Mytona, is celebrating the fact that it was counted among those billboards in the city, which played the game’s latest trailer on the side of the 3 Times Square office building.

It’s an odd cherry that’s placed atop the extremely strange sundae of the game’s development: Readers will remember that it first arrived to our coverage in 2021, when it would have perhaps blended in with the furniture except for a roller coaster 2023 that saw the game pull itself from Steam as a result of an admitted failure to trademark the game, an associated trademark dispute with a South Korean individual that saw its videos taken down on YouTube, and ultimately a series of delays until Fntastic and Mytona finally got its house in order and announced its December 7th early access.

If you really need to see drone footage of a Times Square billboard, the video awaits below. But honestly, everyone should maybe visit Times Square at least once in their lives if they can; it’s an impressive place to see.
