Blade & Soul shares early gameplay videos and communication plans for Neo Classic servers

We’re still not entirely sure just what Blade & Soul is doing with its upcoming Neo Classic servers, but it looks as if NCsoft is preparing to begin the informational drip feed if its latest Soul Log dev blog post is any indication, as it shows off some gameplay videos from the server set and lays out some general communication plans.

First off, the MMORPG will be going the way of all games (it seems) and opening up an official Discord sometime soon, which is where players can expect to see new reveals about Neo Classic as well as directly engage with the devs. Luckily, NCsoft does state that it will also share Neo Classic news in the Soul Log blog series, which will feature “art reveals, game design breakdowns, interviews with the developers, and more.”

To illustrate that point, the post shares a pair of in-game videos that showcase combat and peek into the Tomb of the Exiles dungeon. This portion is still a bit light on details, but it does state that combat will try to “[restore] the classic combat style of Blade & Soul while incorporating unique elements for a new enjoyable experience” and promise to share more Neo Classic-specific class details soon. For now those videos can be watched after the cut.
