MechWarrior Online Legends adds two more legendary mechs and offers two free chassis in December event

Last week was another patch week for the team vs. team ‘Mech battler MechWarrior Online Legends, which brought along with it another pair of chassis that appear to be as powerful as they are fantastically ugly. I mean, look at those paint jobs. What kind of gremlin elects to use those color schemes? Ignore my bright pink Daishi; this is about those things.

“Those things” include the Longbow “Spitfire” variant and the Stone Rhino “Aksum” variant. The Spitfire is a rocket launching boat of a ‘Mech that spews an absolutely apocalyptic number of rockets at foes (180 of them in a single alpha strike to be precise), while the Aksum bristles with Clan UAC/2 cannons along its torso. As with other legendary ‘Mechs, these come with a boost to C-Bill earnings, their own individual mini battle passes, and a price tag of $15.

In addition to the new legendaries, the patch has made another set of weapon adjustments, equipment tweaks, updates to other chassis and quirks, and a couple of map updates and bug fixes. The patch also added a holiday bonus event that went live today on December 25th; it grants players currencies, stocking stuffers, premium time, and two free ‘Mechs, so long as they play at least one match and earn a minimum score of 60. The freebies will be available until January 1st.
