It’s no secret that whenever somebody declares a GOTY, somebody else is going to say that game is overrated. Heck, we cover some major MMORPGs that a lot of you love and I just shrug at. That’s the nature of aesthetic opinions. It’s fine. It’s good, even, since it makes things spicy and interesting. And it’s worth a poll, so we’re dredging one out again to determine which MMO was the most overrated of 2023!

Lost Ark took most overrated last year, if you’re wondering, and this year you get three picks to make things interesting. We’re limiting it to just a handful of major MMOs, live MMOs, launched MMOs – no indies in here, fam, and none of those big games that got delayed into 2024. They’re on deck later. Which MMOs were just excessively overhyped beyond what they deserved in 2023, specifically?
