Ship of Heroes demonstrates how its character creator can be used to convey personal stories

When it comes to superheroes, you can generally get a lot of information from the costume they wear – it’s a big part of comic book visual language, after all. With that in mind, it makes sense that Ship of Heroes wants character stories to be conveyed in their outfits, and that’s what’s being showcased in its latest dev blog and related video highlight.

The demonstration of the upcoming MMORPG’s character creation tool walks followers through the crafting of four different characters, outlining how the different costume parts, character model presets, sculpt adjustments, and color schemes give off the right vibe and tell the appropriate story for each toon.

Fans of these kinds of MMOs are certainly no stranger to using character creation as a way to let others know just what their hero is all about, but Heroic Games is still eager to inspire and show off all the same ahead of its 2024 release.
