If you were among those grumbling at Nightingale’s mini-patch earlier this week, Inflexion’s latest missive ought to make you feel better – or at least more confident that something bigger is happening behind the scenes.
“While we’re happy with some elements of our launch, we’re not satisfied with a number of others,” CEO Aaryn Flynn says. “These include network issues, confusing or missing features for core systems like crafting, and important updates to combat. With yesterday’s patch, we started addressing many of the most urgent gaps and bugs in the overall game experience. But there’s much more to do, and we wanted to share our next round of most important updates with you.”
Indeed, there’s a roadmap-esque priority checklist accompanying the post. In the near future, we’re expecting to see the studio mop up balance, exploits, the farming loop, stacking, connection issues, and the much-wanted tutorial skip. Medium-term, Inflexion is working on QOL improvements to crafting, better AI, and more building pieces. The plan also includes the offline mode that the team bumped up the schedule last week. And it’s all in addition to new cards, biomes, weapons, baddies, and so forth.
In other words… expectation management in early access development. Get comfy.
