Mortal Online 2 releases a new dungeon, combat polishing, dismemberment, and bear mounts

The feature set for the latest patch to Mortal Online 2 might sound like an odd stew since it’s trying to marry riding bears as mounts with dismembering enemies, but that’s just what Star Vault has put out this week. And besides, this is the stuff that was put in the public test realm earlier, so this shouldn’t really be a surprise.

Most of the primary features of the update are combat focused, with the ability to switch to a secondary weapon set or switch weapons via hotbar, the ability to enter combat mode faster, a new function that lets players ghost a combat input by holding it down while another combat input goes off, the ability for humanoid enemies to be dismembered, and a series of combat refinements for ranged, melee, magic, and mounted combat.

Speaking of mounts, the update has introduced bear mounts to the game, allowing players to ride black, brown, white, and undead bears across the world and into combat. Finally, there’s an all-new dungeon for players to plumb “somewhere in Myrland,” along with adjustments to magic spells, enemy AI, and game performance. Basically there is a lot going on in the sandbox’s stew pot, so players will probably want to read all of the changes.
