DC Universe Online reruns St. Patrick’s Day event as players raise concerns over perceived silence

St. Patrick’s Day is coming soon, but DC Universe Online is getting into the Emerald Isle spirit ahead of time the only way it knows how: with the return of its annual Mister Mxyzptlk’s Mischief event.

Content for the 2024 edition of the event once more involves players completing an event mission to earn lucky clovers currency, which can be spent on a host of new goodies including a new face cosmetic, a harp emote, and a bunch of base items designed in Celtic and Irish pub style. The event also offers up two new feats to earn and adds a triquetra emblem cosmetic as a final boss drop.

In spite of the celebratory intention of the event announcement, players appear to be rather salty at DCUO overall. Reactions on Twitter, Reddit, and the official forums all raise concerns about a lack of communication from the developers and no new information about the MMO’s arrival to current gen consoles; readers may recall that delay impacted EG7’s bottom line last quarter, while developer Dimensional Ink suffered layoffs in February.
