It may not have an official name yet, but Fantastic Pixel Castle’s Ghost has a face of sorts. This week, the Greg Street-run studio delivered its first development blog and sneak peek of the prototype that it’s building for the upcoming MMORPG.

“We decided that now is exactly the right time to show the world the progress we’ve made on Ghost, and the ways we’ve decided to move forward in development,” the studio’s developers said, going on to outline the first milestone of the project while showing screenshots using placeholder graphics from Unreal Engine.

This milestone contained three goals: the foundation of a basic MMO combat system, to have an example of the “Red” and “Blue” zones (including procedural generation), and to start working toward the look and feel of the game’s world. Three pieces of concept art, including one of a landscape and one of a terrifying creature, were shared as well.

“We’re so excited about the world and story of Ghost, but we also don’t want to reveal too much too soon,” the devs said. “We want Ghost to feel mysterious and exciting, and to be a game of endless discovery and wonder — the kind of game people come back to for years, maybe decades.”
