When last we heard from Fae Farm developer Phoenix Labs, it had restructured yet again and pushed through yet another round of staff layoffs, affected more than 100 people at the company, those following the loss of 9% of the company’s workers a year ago, in addition to the departure of four executives last year. Following the latest round of layoffs, the company said it would be reorganizing specifically to focus on Dauntless and Fae Farm – at the cost of axing “all other projects at the studio.” At one point, the company was bragging about having close to 10 titles in production, so it was a heavy loss indeed.
However, adorable multiplayer cozy game Fae Farm has surged onward as promised, and now Phoenix Labs has announced a new DLC for the game, not all that far away, in fact: Skies of Azoria is set to launch on June 20th.
“Fae Farm: Skies of Azoria is the second major update to Fae Farm, where players can explore the new realm of Skyvale, meet new characters, discover new magic, and check out the new gameplay mechanics from Thursday 20th June on PC and Switch,” the studio says. “Skyvale hits Fae Farm with three new regions where players can master new skills, recipes and potions, take home exciting new crops and resources as well as new cosmetics and decorations.” The new teaser trailer is below.
