One of my favorite kinds of mods is the one that slaps in some off-the-wall character or feature that’s less about maintaining worldbuilding and more about adding something fun and unexpected. Sometimes you just need to replace your Skyrim dragons with Macho Man Randy Savage. It’s in that spirit that we bring your attention to an official collaborative mod between the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers and ARK: Survival Ascended, which introduces the former into the latter.
This new officially licensed premium mod lets players dress up their characters in the classic Power Rangers outfits, engage some morphin’ time poses, and acquire thematic skins that change weapons into Power Ranger armament and dinosaurs into associated Dinozords. Unfortunately, forming the Megazord is not possible, but we expect the modding community to reach that inevitable conclusion. Provided Hasbro doesn’t stomp the idea into paste, anyway. You can get your morph on in the trailer below; this really has to be seen to be believed.
In addition to the Power Rangers collab, ASA has also opened up Club ARK, an in-game social space where players can enjoy minigames, earn tokens from activities and missions to spend on games of chance for prizes, and just generally hang out. Additional features are planned for this space as well, such as more minigames, holiday events, and more missions. Accessing this hub is done from the in-game pause menu on the survivalbox’s official network, but fans can look at this new space in the second trailer waiting below.
