Gigantic continues to do things nobody expected in 2024: First, Abstraction Games brought it back from the dead years after PWE sunsetted it. Second, it actually launched without any shenanigans. And this is what it’s doing today, as the game is launching on the Epic Games Store today… and it’s free to play through June 26th, saving you 20 bucks.

“Gigantic: Rampage Edition, the definitive release of the original 5v5 MOBA hero shooter from developer Motiga, is now available on Epic Games Store for free starting today through June 26 at 9 a.m. PT! This free trial version includes the full game with no content restrictions.”

Earlier this week, the studio released Gigantic’s first pre-season and ranked mode, which allows players to compete in ranked Clash mode matches. That’s live on PC now, with console to come in the future. “This is a much shorter version of the regular seasons, a warm-up if you will,” Abstraction says. “We want to use this Pre-Season to make sure that everything works as intended and to get your feedback in case any concerns or issues come up.”

MOP’s Chris actually streamed Gigantic just a week ago if you want to see how it plays first!
