What does the future hold for the survival shooter Once Human? New features and new control schemes, according to NetEase’s Starry Studios, which has started to provide some glimpses at what’s to come in the next couple of months.

New features planned for the month of August include support for controllers and DirectX 12, the latter of which is promised by Starry as a way for the game to achieve “greatly enhanced graphics and performance.” September, meanwhile, is promising some new playable content in the form of a PvP scenario involving main camps, Mayflies, and Rosetta. This will be followed by the addition of a new northern mountain region with new monsters and PvE challenges, with a release date to be announced later.

On the subject of performance issues, the source of a bug that has been eating players houses and items has been identified, with a fix and compensation promised as soon as possible. Starry also promised that it was working on latency issues, though no timeline on resolving that is being provided either.
