NCsoft expands Throne & Liberty publishing to several additional regions in Asia and beyond

Worldwide with the thrones.

There’s still a little time remaining before Throne & Liberty finally launches over here on September 17th as published by Amazon. But there are places in the world other than South Korea and North America, to the best of our knowledge. (Preliminary research indicates there may be as many as five countries on the planet. Four if you don’t count Australia.) So it tracks that NCsoft has officially announced it will expand service for the game to cover numerous other countries including Thailand, Hong Kong, Ukraine, Singapore, Kazakhstan, and Moldova.

Now, it is a bit odd that this is coming ahead of the publishing happening in North America, but it’s also worth noting that the listed countries are outside of where Amazon’s existing publishing deal would cover. (To the best of our understanding, Amazon covers North America, South America, the EU, and Australia – none of which overlaps with these new regions.) And the important thing here is that native residents of these countries can play the game easily without use of a VPN or specialized currency exchanges. So it might seem a wee bit odd, but it’s ultimately a good thing for players who want some mixture of liberty and thrones in their gaming future.
