The shared world RPG Tower of Fantasy is going to be celebrating two years of operation this month, which means that players can expect plenty of goodies to mark the milestone, but the celebration began on a rather interesting note with a Q&A session with the devs.

The answer that brings the most interest to our readers addresses whether TOF will be scaling back its MMO features in favor of optimizations for new and returning players. Hotta Studio promised to “continue to develop MMO content in the future,” including multiplayer instances, exploration of the wide world, and special multiplayer events such as the next update’s beach volleyball event. Old gameplay features will also be reintroduced in new forms later, though details on that front weren’t shared.

The rest of the Q&A addresses event boredom, male simulacra, the confirmation of a boss respawn timer coming in the next update, and what the next area will involve. Those who are invested in some of these matters would do well to read up all of the answers.

Speaking of the next update, that’s coming on August 6th, when the studio will introduce an entire calendar’s worth of rewards and login goodies, the permanent addition of Liu Huo to the gacha pool, and a new simulacra named Nola and her weaponized motorcycle, which really has to be seen to be believed.
