Before we begin, we’re going to point out that this Tree of Savior story is specific to the standalone version operated by Papaya Play as opposed to the Steam edition run by IMCGames, and it’s that former edition of the OARPG that is expanding itself to better service Brazilian players with the launch of a new server housed in São Paulo.
Monday, August 12th, will see the opening of the new Kepa server for Brazilian players to use, which promises better latency for players instead of the poor experience they’ve had connecting to the NA Popolion server, expanded Portuguese language support, and celebratory events like server launch buffs and a Great Restart event that awards goodies for reaching level milestones.
The OARPG is currently down for extended maintenance for all players as the new server gets spooled up, but both Popolion and Kepa are scheduled to open at 9:00 p.m. EDT on August 12th, so everyone’s basically going to have to sit and wait until then. We can confirm that both NA and Brazilian servers will be online at that point despite Papaya’s own PR suggesting that the Popolion server was being shut down in favor of the Kepa server; both the game’s site and its Discord clarify that will not be the case.
