Sometimes it’s good to be bad, but perhaps your villainous runs in Baldur’s Gate 3 felt a little hollow since you didn’t get any particularly compelling endings. Those days should be long gone now thanks to the multiplayer RPG’s latest patch, which has introduced some new evil endings for evil characters to enjoy evilly.

There are now 13 new cinematic endings that put a capstone on players’ most villainous playthroughs of the game, including for those who selected an origin character. Holding hands with this update is an adjustment to the “show cinematic nudity” option, which is now called “show sexual and violent cinematics” with a description that better explains what this toggle means to match. “We might have also embraced corruption a little too much because the new evil ending cinematics have been included in this setting. They really are that evil,” Larian Studios warns.

Another big piece of the patch is a new in-game mod manager and related toolkit for PC players, the latter of which will be a separate download planned for release later today. The mod manager will help ensure that mods are kept up-to-date and ensure multiplayer parties have the same mods prepared and installed, while the toolkit will allow modders to use Larian’s in-house Osiris scripting language.

It should be noted that this update is specific to PC players right now, as those on Mac and console are going to have to wait until October for this patch to land on those platforms. This incidentally means that cross-save between PC and console will not be available, and that multiplayer between PC and Mac will not be possible.

Last but not least, the patch introduces some updates to Honour Mode, split-screen updates that dynamically merge view when both players are close to one another, and multiple bug fixes and updates that target dark urge and origin characters, among other things.

Finally, while Larian has confirmed that updates to the RPG will be winding down soon in order for the studio to move to other projects, a few more patches are still on the way to introduce things like photo mode, crossplay, and multiple bug fixes and updates. For now, enjoy the fruits of your villainous labor.
