Players who have run their character roster up the progression ladder are likely looking forward to Lost Ark’s Wednesday, October 9th update, which is when the MMOARPG will finally be introducing its Tier 4 gear. If that sounds like you and you’re curious how this will all work for the western version of the game, Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG have shared some additional details just for you.
Tier 4 accessories won’t have ingrained combat stats, as players can instead take advantage of new enlightenment points that are earned through the upcoming Ark Passive system: In short, the system will let players obtain certain effects and new abilities based on their accessories, while more of these enlightenment points can be gained through the process of accessory polishing. The Ark Passive system will also grant evolution passives for all classes based on equipped gear and award ascension points at gear level 1640 that can be used to improve hyper awakening skills.
Tangential to these gear progress layers is a change to engraving that lets players choose which effects to use based on the number of engraving books read, while those effects are strengthened for every five of those books a character reads.
The other major portion of the October 9th patch is the Ignite servers, which will help players speed their characters to the upper echelons of character and gear level. Smilegate and Amazon confirmed that Ignite characters can be moved to a regular server whether players have a roster of toons or not, while further stating these servers are primarily meant for lapsed players, though there’s nothing stopping new players from taking advantage of these benefits as well.
